Affiliate Disclosure & Transparency Statement

Last Updated: 18 October 2026

Summary for Readers: UtilRank participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click links on our site to purchase desktop software or digital utilities, we may earn a referral commission from the vendor. This occurs at zero additional cost to you.

1. Affiliate Relationships

In accordance with FTC guidelines, we transparently disclose our financial relationships with software merchants and networks, including CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction), Admitad, Verifone (2Checkout/Avangate), ShareASale, and Impact.

2. Which Brands

We do not publish a list of the brands we have an affiliate relationship with, because the list changes often. We share it on request: ask through our Contact Page and we will tell you whether we earn a commission from a specific brand. Links that may earn us a commission are marked as sponsored, and every review and guide carries its own disclosure.

3. Editorial Independence

Our affiliate partnerships do not dictate our product evaluations, pros, cons, or comparison tables. We aim to present balanced facts so you can determine whether a tool matches your specific workflow. We do not rank products by commission rate, and we include products we cannot earn from when they are relevant.

4. Research-Based Pages

Some guides, such as our VPN, password manager and antivirus comparisons, are explicitly labelled research-based. They summarise public sources, which we list at the bottom of each page, and are not the result of our own laboratory testing. Prices and features change often, so we state the date we last checked and ask you to confirm details with the vendor before you buy.

5. Questions and Inquiries

If you have any questions regarding our affiliate relationships or disclosures, please contact us via our Contact Page.
