EdrawMax is a general diagramming tool that the vendor says covers 210 diagram types, from flowcharts to floor plans and circuits. It has a limited free trial plus subscription and perpetual plans. This review is based on vendor pages only, and the vendor's edrawmax.com site could not be read by us.

EdrawMax is Edraw’s diagramming software, sold by the vendor as an all-in-one diagram maker for business, technical and design use. This review summarises what the vendor’s own pages state about diagram types, templates, AI tools, platforms and plans.
Look at EdrawMax if
- You need many kinds of diagrams in one tool: flowcharts, org charts, UML, floor plans, electrical or network diagrams.
- You want a desktop app on Windows, macOS or Linux as well as a web version.
- You prefer a perpetual plan for the desktop app over a subscription.
Look elsewhere if
- You only need mind maps: the vendor sells a separate product for that, EdrawMind (see our EdrawMind review).
- You need a free tool to use at length: the trial shows limits on AI use, templates and Visio import.

What the vendor says about features
The EdrawMax page describes it as a way to build flowcharts and other visuals, with a Microsoft-like interface, drag-and-drop and ready-made templates. The vendor states 210 types of diagram solutions, more than 1,500 built-in templates, over 26,000 symbols, and more than 20,000 templates made by community users. Listed use cases include diagramming and flowcharting, floor plans, electrical engineering, software and system planning, brainstorming, org charts, P&ID drawing and strategy and project planning. The navigation also names UML, ER diagrams, network topology, infographics, wireframes, science illustration, genograms and Gantt charts.
AI tools
The vendor lists AI tools to generate or analyse diagrams, plus one-click AI beautification, AI picture generation and AI-made stickers and icons. A PowerPoint add-in that turns text into diagrams is also listed under what is new. The plan comparison table shows a small token allowance for AI in the free trial and unlimited tokens on the paid plans. The exact allowance is on the vendor’s table.

The product page lists Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and EdrawMax Online. System requirements for each platform were not on the pages we read.
Plans and trial limits
The pricing page lists semi-annual and annual subscriptions that renew automatically unless cancelled, with access on three PCs, three mobiles and online. It also lists a perpetual plan for the EdrawMax V16 desktop app, with mobile and online access for three years and a stated amount of cloud storage for that period. A bundle plan adds EdrawMind and EdrawProj, a Gantt chart tool. An optional AI add-on has a seven-day free trial and then renews monthly. The comparison table shows that the free trial gives only a limited number of Visio imports and built-in templates, a small AI allowance and watermarked exports on the free tier.
