FilmoraPro Review (2026): What the Vendor Says About an Older Editor That Is No Longer Sold
A research-based review of FilmoraPro, Wondershare's older professional video editor, built from the vendor's own page: the stated features, Windows 8 and macOS 10.15 requirements, the 2022 end of sales and the conflicting buy buttons on the page. Not lab-tested.
FilmoraPro
FilmoraPro is an older professional video editor from Wondershare. The vendor's page says it stopped selling and upgrading FilmoraPro on 1 July 2022 and that perpetual users can keep using their version, but the page still shows buy and free-trial buttons. The page directs readers to Filmora 16 as the successor. We therefore do not recommend buying FilmoraPro; the page does not state the trial's limits, the pricing model or the refund terms.
Pros
- Lists unlimited tracks, motion tracking, keyframes, masking, colour wheels and scopes (vendor)
- Lists Windows 8 or later (64-bit) and macOS 10.15 or later (vendor)
- The vendor says existing perpetual users can keep using their version (vendor)
Cons
- The page says sales and upgrades stopped on 1 July 2022, but still shows buy and free-trial buttons
- The trial's length and feature limits are not stated
- The pricing model is not stated
- Refund terms are not stated on the page
- The page names Filmora 16 as the successor; see our Filmora review for the current product
Look at FilmoraPro if
- You already hold a perpetual FilmoraPro licence and want to keep using it.
- You want to see the advanced feature list of the older editor.
Look elsewhere if
- You want to buy a new licence; the page says sales stopped in 2022.
- You want the current product; see our Filmora review.
- You need the trial's limits or the pricing model confirmed; the page does not state them.
What the vendor says the editor does
The page lists these features. Video: unlimited tracks, advanced editing, preset transitions, automatic stabilisation and a built-in screen recorder. Audio: automatic audio sync, an audio compressor, noise reduction and audio transitions. Animation: motion tracking, keyframes, ease in and out, and pan and zoom. Effects: text and titles, lights and flares, warp and distort, and masking. Colour grading: auto correction, shadows, midtones and highlights controls, colour wheels and scopes. These are vendor descriptions.
Status
The page says: “Wondershare has made the difficult decision to stop selling and upgrading FilmoraPro starting July 1, 2022.” It adds that perpetual users “will be able to use the current version without interruption in the future”. The page still shows “BUY NOW” and “try it free” buttons, which conflicts with that notice, and the page does not explain the conflict. It names Filmora 16 as the successor.
Platforms
The page lists “For Win 8 or later (64 bit OS)” and “For macOS 10.15 or later”. Download links for Windows and macOS are on the page.
Free use and pricing
The page offers “try it free” downloads for Windows, macOS and mobile. It does not state the trial length or feature limits. It refers to “perpetual users” and links to pricing and buy pages, but does not state a pricing model. We do not publish prices.
Refunds
The page does not state refund terms. It links to a Wondershare refund policy, which we did not read.
What is not stated
- Trial length and limits.
- Pricing model.
- Refund terms beyond the link.
- Whether a new licence can still be bought, given the conflicting buttons.
