Wondershare Repairit Review (2026): What the Vendor Says About Repair, Formats and Limits
A research-based review of Wondershare Repairit built from the vendor's own homepage: video, photo and document repair, the free preview, and the plan types. Not lab-tested.
Wondershare Repairit
Repairit is Wondershare's software for repairing damaged video, photo and document files, with a free preview of repaired output and a separate online option. The vendor describes its plans as a toolkit, AI credits and an online service, but the homepage does not state whether they are subscriptions or one-time licences. This review uses the vendor's homepage only; the vendor's success-rate figures are its own claims.
Pros
- The vendor lists repair for MP4, MOV, JPG, PNG, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and ZIP or RAR files (vendor)
- A free preview of repaired files is listed, so you can check the output before you pay (vendor)
- Windows and Mac downloads are offered, plus a browser-based option (vendor)
- Repairit for Email is a separate product for Outlook files (vendor)
Cons
- The homepage does not state the limits of the free version, such as file size or number of files
- The '99%+ success rate' is a vendor claim; the page gives no method or sample size
- The homepage does not say whether plans are subscriptions, perpetual or per device
- System requirements are not stated on the homepage; a separate tech-spec page is linked
Look at Repairit if
- You have damaged video or photo files, for example from a camera or a card that was interrupted.
- You want to preview the repaired output before you decide to pay.
- You want an online option as well as a desktop program.
Look elsewhere if
- You need the free version's limits confirmed before you install. The homepage does not state them.
- You need a lost-file recovery tool rather than a repair tool; for that, see our Recoverit review.
- You need a licence type confirmed. The homepage does not say whether plans are subscriptions or one-time licences.
What the vendor says about repair
The homepage describes Repairit as “AI-powered file repair software to repair corrupted videos, photos, files, audio, and emails.” For video, the vendor names batch repair and recordings that were interrupted by power loss or camera errors, with MP4 and MOV as named formats. It also lists brand-specific pages for cameras such as Canon, Sony, GoPro, DJI, Nikon and Fujifilm.
For photos, the page names JPG and PNG. For documents, it names Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF, plus ZIP and RAR archives. Audio is listed as a repair category, but no audio formats are named. The vendor claims “100+” file formats in total without a full list.
Email repair
Repairit for Email is a separate product for Outlook. The homepage mentions EML and PST files in the context of legal use, and does not describe the repair steps.
What the vendor says about the free preview
The page lists a “Free Preview Repaired Files” feature, which lets you check the output before you save it. It also offers free download buttons for Windows and Mac, and a “Try It Online” option.
The homepage does not state limits on the free use: file size, number of files, or whether a full repair needs a paid licence. The page also refers to “Free AI tools” without saying what they include.
Platforms
Desktop downloads are offered for Windows and Mac. Repairit Online runs in a browser. The homepage shows a version badge of “v6.8” in its news section. Android and iOS apps are not named for Repairit itself; a separate photo app, Relumi, is linked from the page.
Plans
The homepage names three offerings: Repairit Toolkit, Repairit AI Credits (for AI and creative tools), and Repairit Online. It does not say whether these are subscriptions, one-time licences or per-device licences, and it does not say whether credits are used up per action. The pricing pages it links to were not read for this review.
Claims to read carefully
The homepage makes several claims that we cannot check from the page alone:
- “99%+ Success Rate”: no method or sample is given.
- “100% Security Guarantee” and “Patented Data Repair Tech”: no patent numbers or terms are given.
- “23+ Years of Data Expertise”: the same section also says “22+ years”.
- The page says repairs can be made “without matching samples”, and also says a matching sample “can help guide a deeper repair” for badly damaged footage. These two statements do not say the same thing.
- User testimonials appear on the page. Some are repeated, and one refers to Dr.Fone, a different Wondershare product. They are not independent evidence.
What is not stated
- Limits of the free version, including file size and file count.
- Whether plans are subscriptions, one-time licences or per device.
- Whether AI credits are used per repair.
- System requirements on the homepage; a tech-spec page is linked but was not read.
- The success rate method and any independent testing.
